Early January 2010 ALV’s Openrescue team investigated a puppy farm near Lancefield Victoria. A number of dogs who required urgent veterinary attention were rescued.
The list of ailments the dogs suffered was extensive, including severe matting, ear infections, gum disease, rotten teeth, grass seed abscesses, dogs so se......verely malnourished their irritated skin was like paper and grossly underweight. Days later approximately 10 police raided Debra Tranters house. They had a search warrant. They seized Oscar (one of the rescued dogs) and returned him to his abusers.
yes as my mum breeds purebreds she knows all about puppy farming and it make her sick. Did you know that in any pet store those puppies that are in the glass boxes come from puppy farms???? did u know they're mothers never see daylight????Did u kniow that the mothers are mated continuessly for hours on end and are forced to produce litters and litters of pups until they are dead? did u know a puppy farming mother dog has a cage only just big enough to give birth to the pups and she never leaves the pen??? i really think unleashed should have a section on puppy farming.
