animals are all living breathing things like us and why love ur dog and then eat pigs cows lambs and chickens all defensless against humans and killing machines eating meat is barbaric and bad
this is something that should not be allowed please do not eat meat it is cruel
and disgracful to the human race and when i pass meat eater i think to myself where is your right to eat animals
pigs are just as socail as us and as smart as a 3 year old baby they have friends and family
things that most of us take for granted mother pigs are not even given a chance to play with there own babys
lamb are sweet beautiful kind natured animals who love to play and make new friends and just live there lives like us,cows are also very beautiful and they are not even given a chance to live like everything and everyone should
chickens can recognize up to 100 different faces but are treated like meat, not unique cute lovley creatures that they are and baby chick yes only babys only a few weeks old have been given so many chemicals that they are the size of an adult chicken but egg producing chick are not bigger than they sould be but are put through horrible unthinkable acts such as cutting of there beaks
then at the end of there miserable life they are killed bruttally for meat
the eating of living things is wrong and should be illegal
We know all this already and heartily agree, but how are we going to get the message across to those who can effect change? I think we hav a fair way to go yet before we are really 'mainstream'.
It's still difficult to get a Vegan meal in a restaurant
Me: Do you have a Vegan option?
Waiter: Certainly Sir, We have chicken or fish
i swear to God, I'm going to strangle a waiter one of these days.
Cows are also very curious.
My two cows come up to us when we are in the boat in the dam to see what we are doing.
Its very sweet.
And when I give Sunshine a brush she goes to sleep. Proof that they know the dif between pain and pleasure. Go cows.
in an ideal world that is how life would be.. cruelty free.. in my opinion vegetarianism could only ever become mainstream when newer generations of more socially aware and educated kids get into politics to advocate for such causes.. until then we have to remain strong and bare the fact that we are the minority and that sadly we are considered to be the "oddballs" instead of our flesh eating friends it is a bit disheartening
I really think NO OFFENCE but thats a little silly.
You may wonder
"But Nicole, it'll be spreading the word" AND I won't have to PUT UP with my stupid family ALL THE TIME and to stop CAPITALIZING random words.
But Not eating meat is like... not showering for those horrible people.
I know. But seriously all of australia, ban eating meat?
It won't stop people killing them.
I'm sorry but sometimes the truth has to be told.
and indeed Jaaaaahck thats is the ONLY TRUE WAY to become cruelty FREE.
I agree with Nic. If you ban something it just creates a black market for it... and we all know stuff which comes from the black market isn't right.
I think we have a better chance with fighting for the best rights we can for the animals, free range and whatnot, and convincing people to go vegetarian. Banning something just makes people want to do it more. Drugs are illegal - that doesn't stop people.
I do think that eating meat is very, very wrong, but i do not think it should just be made illegal. We live in a free society, so you cannot just ban everything from smooking to eating meat. The best way to turn people vegetarian/vegan without becoming socialist is to have education programs.
You can't just ban things willy nilly in a free society.
