I really like EARTHLINGS because it gives a people an understanding, but I don't think everyone realises that not everywhere is like that.
I've worked on a dairy farm, the owner is young and he treats his cows great. He know's everyone of his animals and something about them. While I was working there we visited another farm and they have been breeding their herd for 25 years and they are all amazing looking cows.
It's not all as cruel as the film makes it out to be...
How can it not be cruel?.. did u ask him what he does with the bobby calves when there born? and he still obviously keeps them pregnant constantly otherwise he would have no business...there cant be a "nice" way of doing it.

A life changing film for me, it never ceases to amaze me how incredibly cruel we as a society have become and continue to be, essential viewing, tire of people saying 'I can't watch that sort of stuff.'  I think people have an obligation to view it and not remain ignorant.  Should be essential viewing in high schools, as it starts with education to even attempt to make a dint in future generations.

The world is truly an ugly place and it can almost leave you feeling helpless, but I know by changing my own lifestyle I can make a difference and by constantly sharing and talking about it with people who are open and compassionate.

They should air this at Cinemnas in the ads like they did with the factory farming.
