this is prob more for the vegans... but do you find yourself testing yourself to see if you really miss a certain food, ie cheese?
i was making my b/fs pre-work snack this afternoon - baked beans with cheese zapped in the microwave for 2mins - and there was a bit of crumbled cheese that didnt quite make it into the bowl... so i thought i'd eat it and see how i felt.
i surprised myself when i realised i didnt really enjoy it. now i used to LOVE cheese. i thought it was going to be the death of me becoming a vegan... but u know - now that i understand what goes on to make the cheese, and how fatty it is, i dont miss it at all, and the taste really did nothing for me either... so YAY!
ok yes i cheated on my veganism for a second... but now i know that i dont need that cheese, and i'm fine without it!
how about you guys? have you tested yourself on something to see if you miss it or if your taste buds have changed?
A few times I've liked the smell of something cooking but have never had the temptation to eat it. I think I have turned myself off things like that too much to miss it.
I really haven't missed anything at all really. I am really disciplined with myself and I have this wierd little thing where I think that if I eat anything that may have any sort of animal product what-so-ever in it, something terrible will happen to me (yea, I'm odd xD). And this is also rather strange, but I know that I've been animal product free for a few years (well, I'm pretty sure I am) and I want to keep that up, and I'll let myself down if I eat a bit of cheese or whatever. So yea, that's my strange little story xD (its very hard to explain).
