What a naughty pussy you have! wink my ferrets terrorize cockroaches and it always scares the hell out if me!
The Cruelty Free Shop also sells humane mouse traps that will catch a mouse without hurting it.... I've had 3 pet rats in my life (the fluffy white domesticated ones, not the huge vicious ones you were up against of course) and they are very partial to peas and corn. If they ever got lost we'd put a small bowl of peas or corn in the middle of the room and within a few minute the missing rat would be gorging herself.

if your house is prone to mice & rats... I know that Peta sells humane mouse traps on there online shop. This obviously wont solve the immediate problem, but perhaps an investment for the future?

Ahh theres a farmhouse thats next to our school and a couple of years ago there was a MASSIVE rat problem. if you think about it, a schoolyard after recess or lunchtime would be heaven for them, with food and rubbish on the ground.
Anyway, I was in year 6 and the time and remember that all of a sudden they dissapeared. We found out why, as the school now had a cat problem.
the year after that, the cats dissapeared. 'animal control' had paid a visit...

My friend found a mouse at school once (well, actually it was a rat), picked it up, and kept it in his blazer pocket for the whole day, and took it home for a pet. But it had eaten rat poison before he found it, so it died sad
