I was just wondering if anyone else had emailed Minister Green about ending the use of sow stalls.

I got the following response:

"Thank you for your comments and interest in this matter.
Hon Bryan Green MP
Minister"

Which was a bit disappointing.  Anyone know of another way we can put more pressure on them/show support?

Have you sent an email?

What response/s did you get?

bump Just bumping this 'cos it's really important!

Minister Green in Tasmania has been left to make the decision about whether Tasmania will become the first state in Australia to ban sow stalls (you know, those awful crates that confine pigs so tightly they can't turn around).

The pig industry is hammering him now to ignore the fact that sow stalls are one of the cruellest devices on the planet. That's why we need as many e-mails as possible to go to the Minister to remind him that WE WANT PIGS TO BE FREE!

You can send your personal e-mail to

Yep, I emailed and got the same immediate, automated response.

I hate automated responses.  Especially when they don't give any indication of actually having read it or thought about it or actually caring.  I understand they're busy though *sigh*
