Yep, just received the email from Animals Australia, and Im sure you would too. The new movie 'The Burning Season' is due to be released on the 9th of July.

It's an Australian film & documentary about deforestation in Indonesia, carbon trading, palm oil and saving orangutans. It's an uplifiting film, inspiring those who see it to take action to save our planet.
Im presuming that A.A is plugging it because it will feature stuff on vegetarianism? If so, that would be great! I was quite angry that Al Gores 'An Inconvenient truth' did not include these important factors. Im sure everyone here was surprised to find out that Al Gore is NOT a vegetarian.
Anyway heres the preview if your interested:

I'll try to bribe and/or blackmail a couple of friends to go.

That's right! ecstatic These guys actually have their fingers on the pulse... Their "ten things you can do" website has an entire "thing" devoted to eating less meat and/or going vegetarian to help the planet (http://www.tenthingsyoucando.com/meat.htm)

I totally agree that it's a huge shame that Gore wasted an epic opportunity to educate willing environmentalists on the one thing that they can do that costs nothing, and has the potential to MASSIVELY reduce our carbon footprint....

sad

Slowly, the message is reaching people. We can do it without Gore!!

And this reminds me, if you're in Sydney, please join Jeroen next Saturday to hand out Why Veg leaflets at the Australian Youth Climate Coalition Conference.

The planet (and the animals) need you!
