Hi. I'm India, I'm 13 and I live in Tassie. I'd like to let you know about a fundraiser/awareness raising activity I'm doing soon.

On May 27, I'll be setting out from Launceston, Tasmania on my bike to ride 240 km to Brightside Farm Sanctuary in the Huon valley. It will take me about 10 days, and I'm doing it to raise funds for Brightside Farm Sanctuary, where Emma Haswell looks after rescued factory farm and neglected animals. Emma also does a lot to raise awareness of factory farming and amongst other things, has been responsible for the conviction of a piggery owner in northern Tasmania on animal cruelty charges.

I'm looking for sponsorship for my ride- if you'd like to look at my website you can see what I'm doing and also find out more about Brightside.Go to www.bikingforbrightside.weebly.com
You can sponsor me online or you can send a sponsorship  donation to me, for Brightside to PO Box 751, Rosny, Tasmania, 7018. You can also email me at

Donations over $2 are tax deductible. I'd really love it if you would consider helping me help Emma's work

Hi, I'm India. I posted about my planned 240 km bike ride here in Tassie to raise funds for Brightside Farm Sanctuary, founded by Emma Haswell , who rescues, rehomes, and advocates for animals, especially those who have been neglected or badly treated, and the victims of the cruel practices in factory farming.

I'm back to report that I completed my ride last thursday (10th), and that I raised $10,000!

Also, on the day I finished my ride, we found out that sow  stalls are going to be banned in Tassie, which emma haswell has been fighting for for a long time.

BUT, it's not too late to sponsor me or donate-the website will be open a little longer, and Emma Haswell at Brightside is making a huge difference to the lives of animals and is really worth supporting. I'm so glad that I did this bike ride and that so many people helped me make a big donation to Brightside. My website is www.bikingforbrightside.weebly.com.au
