Check out this article today:
http://news.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=1069472

"While it is encouraging to see success in animals, this has not been a good predictor of success in humans. So, it is far too early to be able to class this as a breakthrough."
- No shit... maybe it's because animals and humans are different? Hmm?

"Dr Gordon said the treatment, which is either injected directly into a tumour or applied as a cream, had been used on about 150 cats, dogs and horses where vets had otherwise exhausted other conventional treatment options."
Hundreds of animals have died. Disgusting.

Do you know this for sure?

I saw this on Sunday on tv (Sunday Night or whatever that program is called).

From what the story reported - the testing they are doing is only on animals who already have cancer and who have 2 options - the trial or death. I would go the trial for my best friend.

From the results - it looks promising! Very promising. It has killed the cancer, or decreased it by half - in a week!

The drug is from a natural source (a seed from a tree in the Daintree Forrest).

I'm unsure if it's been tested on mice/rats in labs, but I know several vets around the Cairns area are trialling it now with huge success.

bad but you have to be weary what charities you give to and what optional immunisations you take cos they fund animal testing :s

When they say that they test on animals with cancer i always wonder wether they gave them cancer. Because i know with some testing they give animals cancer first before they do the treatment tests.

Id say there would have been lab testing prior to it being tested on animals in vetinary care. They aren't just going to go ' hey what's this?' and start testing it on peoples pets unless they were pretty sure there would be a positive outcome.

Also there is someone in australia who has a cream like this already.. I might ask
Dad if he still knows the website later. Anyways.. This is the story. Dad was away with work as usual, and he was on a break and some guy was putting cream on his face and bandaging it up. Dad asked what he was doing. And the man said he has had cancers all over his body for years, his skin was pale and it ran in his family. Anyway this crean ate the cancer out of the skin. And would leave a hole where the cancer was but not damage the surrounding tissue.

This product was made from a few natural ingredients. Pharacutical companys wanted nothing to do with it because there was no money in it - it wasn't a drug or chemical, it took nothing to make. So anyways they made it illegal for this guy to sell it to humans. He sells it as a cancer treatment for dogs and horses now..

They definitely infest the animal with whatever disease they are trying to cure. It is disgusting. I don't donate to anyone anymore ( except animal charities of course). I used to give blood to the red cross but they fund animal experimentation so I stopped giving it to them. Even events like the city 2 surf run/walk in Sydney donates part of its money made from entry costs to the steve waugh foundation which funds research into rare genetic diseases which means they fund animal experimentation. So im pretty sure I won't be going in that walk for that reason alone. Very sad and very disappointing but it is guaranteed that if a charity funds research of any kind, they will be experimenting on animals.
