Wow, that sucks

I never told my parents straight out that I wanted to turn vegan. I just did it gradually like one day asking them to get me soy milk instead of cow's, using the excuse that it is healthier.

Maybe you could ask your dad to get free range or organic eggs and soymilk, but space it out so it doesn't seem like you are changing to vegan overnight? I don't know. I wish I could be more help tongue
Good luck.

OMG are you serious? Worse than ICE? Your Dad needs to see someone high on ICE then look at you and see which problem is worse....

Sorry your Dad looks at it like that. Is there anyone else who you know will support you and is willing sit down with you and your Dad to discuss this like mature adults?

maybe the best thing is to ask to go shopping with you mum, pick out some vegan friendly food (you can say the product was recommended by friends) and then ask to cook a meal on your own.

when they're eating it (if they enjoy it), you can say you've made a decision to go vegan - or maybe use the word vegetarian (it doesn't sound so full on tongue ).

Show them at this decision will not be a problem at all for them, show them you can easily change the the family's food to something vegan friendly for yourself - like when having pasta, ask your mum if you can take out some pasta sauce before she adds the meat. I'm sure if you show them that it's healthy, your MATURE decision behind it and MOST IMPORTANTLY showing that it will not be a problem for them.

we're all here for you, be sure to tell us how it goes. good luck! (:

That's terrible! You should be allowed to make your own choices about what you want to eat. People say that you shouldn't force/pressure people into vegetarianism - which is fair enough - but it should go both ways.

Hopefully, your dad will relent soon!

That's horrible LB! What does your mum say? Would she be able to cook for you or talk some sense to your dad? Are you old enough to cook meals for yourself?

As Matt said, maybe use the term vegetarian, it doesn't seem so extreme so may be abit easier for your dad to come around. I would use the lactose intolerant thing too!

I hope you stick to it and don't give up because of your parents coz you'll regret it when you're older. Good luck!
