that ad, "if you don't like eating chicken, there's something wrong with you" really, really sh*ts me. I can't wait for the day, when vegetarianism becomes more mainstream, when anti-animal cruelty adverts will be televised. Imagine, seeing the inside of broiler farm after watching a KFC advert.

ughh i HATE those ads! they piss me off something fierce.
someone lodged a complaint to the advertising standards board and inghams reply was that australians are lighthearted and that vegetarians wont take offense. every single vego ive talked to about the ad hates it!
I would love to make complaint direct to the advertising standards board if they get enough complaints they will be forced of the air anyone know how?
I sent a complaint for the "If you don't like chicken there's something wrong with you" ad, but got the same standard reply.

I know why everyones been getting the same response its beaucse that ad falls under the :

If the complaint is about an advertisement that has already been considered by the Board. The complainant receives a copy of the case report, outlining the determination and the advertiser receives a copy of the complaint made about their advertisement for their information. "
They REJECTED ALL OF OUR COMPLAINTS! so now no matter what you write it will always come up with the same automated answer they prob dont even look at it!
It is offensive to many people who choose not to consume chicken due to various reasons. The ad makes non-chicken eaters think that something is wrong with them. However, there is nothing wrong with these people, each person has a choice. Hindus, Buddists, vegans, vegetarians, people with allergies and children who do not eat chicken for whatever reason are made to feel stupid. The information given on this ad is incorrect as well. Chickens are pumped with steroids and are therefore very unhealthy to consume. If more people knew the truth, you would be bombarded with more complaints then what you already have. This ad is so deceptive. If you choose to leave this ad on TV, why not follow it with another ad showing the real truth about how chickens are treated, the unhealthy consumption of their meat and why people choose not to eat them. Then maybe more people will be able to decide for themselves based on the real truth.
Its absolutly horrid what they do and how the people that work there can sleep at night is beyond me!
The ads should be banned asap!Unfortunatly i dont think it will happen for a while, if at all only due to the fact that "money talks" and KFC has alot of money
But its deffinately a good idea to think about and hope for
