How to be more carbon neutral?

Depending on how much money you have to spare, you can solar power your house. If you make more power than your house requires, your local electricity company will buy that green power off you to power something else... so that's almost getting 2 ticks, and a couple of dollars at the same time happy

Rain water tank - I'm not sure if they can hook it back into your house for use, but it can be used on your vegie patch happy

Grey water - you are saving all that water that would usually go down your drain, and use it on your garden. Unfortunately there are some councils that don't see the positive side to grey water is actually not permitted in some areas.

Growing your own vegie patch, and for you vegetarians - having your own chooks. Even if you're a vegan - having chooks will save on garden pesticides as they will look after that for you.

For those of you at school, or in an office environment, and need to print out assignments, reports, etc... Reflex have a carbon neutral copy paper. It does cost more, but it comes with a government seal of approval.

Hey!
The list sounds like a cool idea. I'll definitely do one of those; I don't plan to implement them all at once but get going over a period of a month.
I buy my razors (my current disposables) from The Cruelty Free Shop and they're the Wally Razor and replacement blades. They're the only razors that I know off that are endorsed by PETA and that don't test on animals (like Gilette does).
I'm doing this because I can. I firmly believe that one person can make a difference and that if you can make a difference you should. I want to be the change that I want to see in the world.

Ah, I thought you were talking about those olden day razor blades that the barbers used to use. But never mind. Yeah slow and steady will probably get you there with your goal. It's easy if you were brought up in a preserving family. It's some what harder if you're doing it on your own and learning as you go. Certainly more fun that way though =)
