Then please come along to the ATAAC documentary screenings on the 25th and 26th of July!
Not sure what this is all about?
ATAAC (Australian Teens Against Animal Cruelty) is an animal youth group that began in 2007. Since then, we have established a firm following and won many prestigious awards from Girlfriend Magazine, Pride of Australia, Supreme Master TV and MySpace to name a few.
In April of this year, myself and my partner in ATAAC Andrew Glover headed over to India to film a feature length documentary about the state of animal welfare in India alongside the fantastic iCandy Productions. From street dogs and cats, to ex-dancing bears, to the plight of Indian leopards and the working horses and donkeys, we decided the best way to help these animals was to document the conditions and show it to the youth of Australia.
Whilst we were over there we learnt that few are aware of the plight of leopards in India. They face serious life threatening challenges which include their habitation being destroyed, mother leopards being killed and baby leopards ending up in cages not much bigger than themselves for up to three years of their life. ATAAC decided that with increased awareness and more funds, Wildlife SOS could improve the lives of these majestic animals. That's when the idea of building a new leopard sanctuary in the rural town of Junnar arose.
The funds raised from the documentary will be donated directly to the Wildlife SOS leopard sanctuary. Please come along, bring your friends, watch our debut documentary, and support this extremely worthy and needy cause!!! I have seen the documentary and I assure you it is really fantastic and worth coming along and seeing!
