My friend currently has two dogs, and she just bought another two!! We live in QLD, so it's illegal i think.. she wants me to keep it a secret, but the dogs come from a breeder who is in a bad place at the moment. I really want to contact an animal welfare place..Do you think the dogs will be safe? Should I contact someone? I really want to, but i don't want to contact someone, then find out they would have been fine. I think I should contact someone..If I do, who should it be? RSPCA?

who do you want to report? your friend or the breeder? it really depends on how the animals are being treated. are they being looked after?

No, I don't think they are at all.

If they're not being looked after properly, then it's the RSPCA. But even then they need proof. And so long as they have shelter, food, water I don't think they will do much unless treated very poorly.

With the owing too many pets issue, it's probably best to contact your local council.

If the dogs are being treated well... why are you dobbing them in?

By the way, if you contact the council, the dogs may be taken to a pound... not the RSPCA where they have a chance at adoption.

Only contact the council if you feel the animals are in any danger.

You CAN own more than 2... but you need a permit from the council, who may need approval from your neighbours.

I believe the conditions are how big the dogs are - no1 is going to mind if you own 3 foxy's, but 3 great dane's is a different story - and how much space you have... 3 foxy's in an apartment probably ok, 3 great dane's in an apartment?! Even 1 in an apartment LOL

Yeah, they don't have a licence and that's really funny because the two dogs they had first are great danes! Isn't that wierd??

LOL

What is the 3rd dog? If it is toy size it's prob ok (in theory) but if it's another larger dog the council need to ensure there is enough space for them all.
