So ive been friends with this guy since year 8, we hung out heaps and heaps and then he left the school to goto another, we tried to keep in touch and we hung out a few times. he turned totally 'gangsta' selling drugs, getting smashed and he started to smoke. He was a good guy at heart so i kept in touch anyway.

But now im extremely disappointed in him..he had a status on myspace that said ''sheep hunting is fun going to push over a sleeping cow tonight whoo ecstatic" And then i noticed he had a new photo uploaded..it was of him with two friends and a dead lamb sad

Im so hurt i feel like bursting out into tears. I hate people..i really do i just hate people. The only people i like and are happy around are vegans and vegetarians..otherwise i dont feel comfortable being close to them. It hurts too much really sad

has anyone else had a friend/family member disappoint them? this is really hard for me..so share your stories?

Awwww man that sucks! I understand though..I'd been mates with this guy since kindergarten, he was a sweetie, an extremely good friend and he had so much going for him. But now he's into drugs, alcohol and getting into fights. It's like we don't know eachother anymore.
That's horrible though. sad

Yeh, I can see how that would suck. Lots of people I know are getting into hard drugs, the dealing of drugs, fights, burglary and gangs or "cliques"... I mean i've got friends hanging around with full blown triads! It's horrible to see your friends you grew up with take the wrong path in life and knowing there is no way you can stop them. I still very much stay in contact with them though.. I'm hoping that one day these guys will see their wrongs and I'll be there for them. After all, that's what friends are for. BUT, if one of them started abusing animals... that would surely test my nerve... I'm not sure if I would stick around to be honest.

I don't know why, but people are known to start abusing animals and then move onto abusing people. The government has to recognize this and act. There needs to be much tougher sentences for animal abusers... and they must be custodial sentences... not bullshit fines and suspended sentences.

Yeah, it's a psychological thing...they have no empathy...like the bastard who did this http://news.ninemsn.com.au/national/838383/puppy-found-with-ears-tail-cut-off

What can you say? idk

there are too many stories that come out of people abusing puppies.. a few months ago someone attempted to cook a live puppy over a beach bonfire..luckily, a women noticed the youths and came to the puppies aid. The puppy wasn't hurt... but if the lady hadn't been there at that time, the puppy would not be alive for sure.

but it's not just criminals who do this... this kind of crap is legalized.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zd95gVyFo5U

this a very famous story of a monkey, named "Britches," that was heroically rescued by the Animal Liberation Front. some of it can be hard to watch.. but the end is good. It'sa great example of what the ALF are able to do.

DISCLAIMER: if you watch this you may just want to break into a lab in the name of the ALF and rescue some animals yourself tongue

I no it would be hard for you, but if you can put aside your feelings and go to the police and report animal cruelty (its odd that he would be standing beside a dead sheep) and anyone who thinks that is a cool or fun thing to do is somewhat twisted, id be staying very far away.
