So when I was preparing for my Ls test, one of the things I remember was it saying "if there is an animal on the road and it is too risky to go around it or stop, run over it" but I don't want to run over an animal! Even if it is an emergency, I would never live down running over an innocent animal. Imo, an animal life is just as important as any humans! What do you guys think?? :/

Physics is a strange thing.

I've been told that if you cannot stop to avoid an animal(or a human for that matter) and you cannot safely swerve, the best thing to do is actually try and get it up onto the bonnet as for some reason this is less damaging and also removes the risk of them being run over by someone straight after you or crushed by your wheels or other parts of the car.

Obviously the most important thing to do whenyou're driving for the safety of yourself and others is to concentrate and keep your eyes peeled.

I always keep an eye out, its basicly the main thing on my mind when im driving and i have found that i can and have stoped in time everytime. I have rescued many dogs from being hit (usually one a week) but with kangeroos and all others if they are on the road, put your hazard lights on and stop. Bad luck to everyone else they can wait behind you while you sort things out.

So would I.
I would never hit an aminal! I'd rather take my life then an innocent animal crosing the road.

That's like ducks...
My friend was telling me about these ducks crossing the road. [a mother and a few ducklings.] But a truck came and killed the mother. And the chicks went up to the mother and were chipring at her.

sad

When i first started to drive i was going down my street when a possum ran under my tires. I immediately pulled over and got out the car and ran over to the possum. He was kicking around like crazy though it didn't take him long to die. I put his body in the boot of my car and drove him home and buried him. It was a horrifying experience and i didn't drive for 6 months after that.

Another time i was driving out in the country and a rabbit  jumped into the side of my car. I was doing 120k so the rabbit died on impact. Later we went back to look for the rabbit but he wasn't there.

Its horrible hitting a animal though sometimes it can't be avoided.
