hey everyone! today i opened up a packet of white miso paste, first time using the stuff in a soup recipe. thing is, the label is in japanese and am unsure how long i can store it for. i have sealed it off and put it in a container in the fridge. any idea how many days or weeks i can use it? would be much appreciated to know
I bought one in late June and I'm still using it =) The last time I made a meal with it was early-mid August. I'm not sure how long it lasts either, I'm just going by smell and if it starts growing anything, lol! =)
thank you so much! at least now i know i don't have to use it all up in a hurry.. i don't want to waste it.. lol definitely not a fan of food getting furry! =]
I have never cooked with miso, but there is a packet of it in our cupboard, I have no idea where it came from or when it was bought but i've seen it in there for at least 6 months. It has been opened and used but still looks perfectly fine lol. I wouldn't use it at this stage though!
