Yes, I've found with my friends that when I state facts or say, "Oh, that's tested on animals!" they tend to lose interest, but if I more discuss it, just integrate it into the current conversation, so it's not just me telling them stuff, it's a discussing, and I think that that works better, as it's not so abrupt as just rattling off information. It's a bit sneaky almost, like sneaking up on them with the animal rights stuff.
Anyway back to the topic, I havn't 'converted' anyone as the people around me are either stubborn, selfish or stupid. My best friend (not in my picture by the way) who i thought would be a pushover, claims she is 'half vegetarian' while still enjoying her ham sandwhiches.
But in a way, id still like to think that i've made an impact on others, despite how extreamly microscopic this may be. the fact the friends and family are aware of animal cruelty & vegetarianism might mean that one day, when they're mature, they would consider it? I just wish they would consider it now

It's all about planting seeds. Every time someone is introduced to the facts about what they eat, or the philosophy of a cruelty free lifestyle, I believe they come a step closer to taking action on that knowledge.
I've seen a number of the most unlikely friends go vegan after years of lame payouts at me for being vegan.
