Aaaww but I really wanted to know what they had to say about whether we could murder and rape still, if that seems to be their logic, that peeps have done things for centuries, hehe, just joking, I was feeling slightly uneasy about the personal attacks that were being directed towards the young people. OMG how old do I sound? hehe. But I think it's hard enough being a teenager, and adding, going against the norm on top of it, you don't need your safe, happy places to be violated by immature, ignorant people who stoop to personal attacks.

Haha. How funny. You call me ''HORRIBLE''  happy I am NOT a horrible person because I eat meat. People have eaten meat for centuries people!!! I have a sister who was once vegetarian for about 10 years, but has now started eating meat again, and she was never judgmental, or ''Im such a saint'' like you people!! You mean to tell me you've never drank a glass of milk, or driven a car, or used a bus, train etc. Rubbish. I will continue to love animals, and I will continue to enjoy meat. You can think what you like about that. Frankly, I couldn't care less what yas think     rolleyes Go rescue some ants from a puddle or something. Bye bye. I've wasted enough time with you people.
so, whilst i'm hoping that you actually plan to not return, i have a feeling perhaps you will. just to see if i replied of whatever your reasoning is.

firstly, whilst people HAVE eaten meat for centuries, it is only in the last century that factory farming and other like methods have been introduced. These are the sort of farms I have a problem with, and they only recently came into existence. I do not have so much of a problem with family owned farms, though I still do not condone the killing of their animals. However, at least those animals are loved during their life times.

Secondly, you're the judgemental one. You came onto a veg*n forum and judged us. And besides, its not omnivores that I have a problem with in general. Its omnivores that know the horrors of the meat industry and still do nothing to change THEIR consumption to try and make a dent in that industry.

Thirdly, I actually haven't had a glass of milk in years. But that is besides the point. Once I became aware of these facts, I made a compassionate choice to make a change in my own life. Something which perhaps you should look into. And of course I have been in a car and other modes of transport. If you had bothered to finish reading that sentence you would have noticed that I had said that all of the emmissions from all transportation vehicles add up to LESS than the emmissions from the meat industry. This means, that as a vegan, I could drive a Hummer around all day every day, and still be responsible for less greenhouse gasses than you on a bicycle! Though I hate hummers, so I wouldn't do that.

In addition, the point that we are trying to make you understand here on OUR forum, and particularly this thread in actual fact, is that if you loved ALL animals so much, you would not eat them. Sure, I bet you love your dog, your cat, your rabbit, your fish or whatever pet you have. I bet if you have a child you love him or her, don't you? Human beings are animals too. But you place value over your own head and the heads of all animals around you and decide that cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys, sheep and whatever else you eat have a lower value than yourself. You are AWARE of what happens to these animals, and you still continue to consume them. THAT is what I'm trying to understand for myself. Because, yes, I did eat meat up until not all that long ago, and yes, I enjoyed the taste, but, knowing how it got to my plate was too disturbing to continue eating it.

Also, I don't particularly think what you think either. Because you're being judgemental toward veg*ns on a veg*n forum! If one of us were to perhaps join a 'Meat-Lovers 'R' Us' forum and started to judge those on that forum, they would defend themselves in much the same way as we are defending ourselves. However, I think their arguments would consist more of the 'we've done it for centuries' type excuses that you have used, and not facts as we have.

So, to conclude, perhaps I will go save some ants from a puddle. Or a baby bird from drowning in a lake in which it certainly didn't belong (much as I did not too long ago).
But in doing this, perhaps you should re-evaluate yourself and find your morality and/or intelligence. Either will do.

Also, as a parting note, consider this.
If the tables were turned. (a poem by myself)

If the tables were turned,
Then how would you feel?
As they clipped off your tail,
Would you too, squeel?

If they cut out your backside
Then took all your wool
Would you walk around
And keep feeling the fool.

If they strung you up high
And you wriggled in chains
Then they slit your throat thrice
Would you scream out in pain?

If they kept you in cages,
To peck at your foes
Would you go insane?
Really, who knows?

Would you cry when they skinned you
Alive as a mink?
Would you rather eat your brother?
What do you think?

Would you like your legs broken,
From growing too fast?
Or to have your throat slit,
As you dangle on past?

How would you like it
If they raped you right there
Then took away your baby
And milked you, without a care.

How would you like it
If you couldn't move,
Your entire life.
Would you approve?

So here you go.
Some food for thought.
Can you still eat mean,
When it moos on your fork?

According to the ADA (American Dietary Association) most people have been on plant based diets through history "Most people throughout world history have eaten a largely vegetarian diet. Relatively recently, in Europe and North America, where meat and animal products have become affordable, diets centered around meats have become widespread. In other parts of the world, plant-based diets remain more common." - http://www.eatright.org/WorkArea/DownloadAsset.aspx?id=10279

It said it was leaving last time, and it came back. So don't be surprised if we hear from it again.

Kirrilly is a lovely, beautiful compassionate person. Don't even try to go there.
You didn't even put forward the respect to answer her question on whether you know what goes on in a factory farm.
Trust you? No thanks.

Bonbear, I find it very funny that you can say that with out showing a photo of your beautiful self. I can't see anything wrong with Kirrilly, she's very pretty, she does a lot for animals and she's a very kind person. Which is a lot more than I can say for you...

I wasn't ''picking on'' a 16 yr old. I just won't sit back and be TOLD that I hate animals, by a child. That is ridiculous, not to mention completely untrue   rolleyes
If it's so untrue then why do you eat animals?! People don't eat what they love. That's like someone saying they love babies but it's okay for babies to be killed and fed to them.

You disgust me.
Calm down. Are you saying that before you became a veg*an, you hated animals?
I'm sure Maggie never went on animal rights sites when she wasn't veg*n and attacked and annoyed the hell out of compassionatate people.  happy
