He may be a Vegetarian, my brothers girlfriends best friend had a day with him today (her friend is disabled and it was apart of the StarLight Foundation wishes)

They said he had all Vegetarian meals at lunch, starter + main and was a really nice genuine guy.

It may be the case that he doesnt see it as a big deal and doesnt made it public, like Ian Thorpes sexuality.

You know ive spent around 30 mins reading all the threads and comments in this topic and so ill add my opinions

1. Firstly you can be a meat eater and an animal lover and dont attack me for saying it because its the truth just because your vegan or vego doesnt make you a better person or more informed it just makes you a person that doesnt eat animal products

2. To the person that was bonbear or bubble you did go too far you dont come on hear and bilittle people or stir people up this is for informed debate not what you did

3. However a disturbing trait ive seen in hear is if you dont like a persons opinion you attack there apperance ( ive lost count of the amount of times people have said eats meat bet his fat and ugly) Grow up if your healthy good for you so am I according to my doctor

4. The biggest problem main stream people have with vegos is that your pushing your agenda if you choose not to eat meat then great but I and alot of others choose to eat meat and shouldnt be made out to be secoundry or ignorant or beneath you for doing so.

WOW dont like a comment so start name calling.  I guess not eating meat must be healthy however i think it stunts ur muturity level and your ability to actually have a debate.

It's a little more than not liking a comment, Daniel5, but I agree that name calling is pointless and counterproductive to discussion (despite immediate satisfaction for the name caller).

To be fair, you ARE contributing to a forum orientated to young people. A 12yr old may not be as articulate and experienced in debating as a 20yr old, and so on. This applies to meat-eaters and non-meat eaters alike. Be reasonable. I suggest visiting the Vegetarian/Vegan society of Queensland forum if you desire debates with an older age bracket (http://vegsoc.org.au/forum_active.asp).

Edit: ^ this is no intended slight on people here, you're all great and an inspiration...and good feedback for when my daughter gets old enough to venture down this path tongue
