Howdy From Down Under
I was wondering….If people keep moving to Australia, this means more land will be taken to build new houses for the human race. Native animals like the Kangaroos and Koalas are likely to be forced to live cautiously in the streets full of cars capable of running them down!
I was inspired to write this article after witnessing a mob of kangaroos almost get run down while crossing the road to get to the vegetation on the other side. Fortunately, the kangaroos just missed a speeding car.
The government must stop taking land or at least try and transport out fauna to the outback where they are more protected from becoming a victim to road kill!
It would take 20 years to fill the MCG with boat people, so I don't think their that much of a problem...
Immigrants on planes yes
I wasn't serious...
LOL sorry should've figured with the quotation marks
Lol! No I put boat people in quotation marks because some people find it offensive or politcally incorrect to say "boat people".... I wasn't sure if the original poster was suggesting we stop immigration and boat people that's why I put it as a question...lol! I hate that tone is so hard to determine on the internet... UGH!
The good thing for most of our native wildlife is that most of Australia isn't favoured as habitual for people, eg: most of WA, SA & prob all of NT. It's barren - no trees (unless in the Kimberly), no water, all sand... etc etc. A lot of our wildlife live well in these areas, and humans (apart from Aboriginals who know the land) won't ever want to move there.
The problem is outskirts of towns/cities where groups of roo's for example currently live... humans keep creeping in and the roo's have no choice other than crossing our roads.
