Does anyone have a problem with sogey tofu?

I tried to take as much water out as possible,but it was still sogey!
(and this is firm tofu)
i cooked it untill it was brown,the inside was still white and watery and mushy. what on earth am i doing wrong? D:

did you get cheap tofu from the supermarket? That can do that.. mum reckons the majority of tofu in supermarkets is cheap crap, you need to get it from a local farmer market thing the equivalent of Adelaide central market. That could be it  peace

lol that's what it tends to be like in Adelaide, not tooo sure about sydney, but packaged crap is never gunna be as good as the fresh stuff. *hugs*

I have a problem with spongey tofu as opposed to soggy. I rarely cook it cause I have no idea what i'm doing. Maybe try the pre marinated kind?
