On Friday afternoon (30/8) we picked up these little dairy calves from the local Highschool. They were used in the Cows create Careers program and once the program was over they were going to be sent to auction where they most likely ended up at the slaughterhouse so we bought them and brang them home Jacob and Oliver are approx. 2 months old and they love getting scratched on the neck here is a picture of the boys > https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=711512832199223&set=a.330080797009097.100516.100000215384639&type=1&theater¬if_t=like

They are soooooooo cute! If you are still online could you write something on my most recent post? The one called animal rights life list.
I recently saw an article in my local newspaper about a high school participating in "Cows Create Careers". In the pictures both the students and the cows looked so happy. And in the end the cows are killed? That's just horrible.
In 2012, there were 180 schools participating in this program. Imagine how many innocent animals would've been killed.
There should be programs for looking after rescued animals, not this. The dairy industry is plain cruel.
I hope your rescues do well.
I guess every school would have different plans for the calves, there was three this year at the local high school, 2 boys and 1 girl - the girl sadly went back to the dairy farm and i bought the boys on Friday Thanks Veronica, they are doing well, they met my other bobby calves that i rescued in 2011 and 2012 and they love the horses and sheep
