guys, i feel like im wasting my days with a job that does nothing to help animals. I would love to work in helping save animals or promote an eco-animal-karma loving lifestyle.
although i dont have many obvious skills, i just want to find a job thats helps animals, on global or at least a local level.

if anybody knows any organisations that employs people to help out could you please let me know, thank you, thank you :]

I don't know any in Victoria but you could try working at a wildlife park or be a wildlife carer

Try volunteering for a local animal shelter. You won't get paid, obviously, but you can keep your current job and still help out animals =)

I agree with Sarah! And like my Mum always tells me, once people start noticing you in a line of work, no matter what pay or job, you'll get offered for much better jobs! So if you just take up some volunteer work, surely people will notice your interest and commitment and you'll be bound to hear of other jobs through the people you'll meet doing it! happy

Yup, that's how I got started in animal advocacy. You could also look into doing face to face fundraising (often called frontlining). I did that for a while. It's hard work, but you learn a lot and it can be very fun.

This isn't something I can do immediately, since I'm a matter of weeks away from finishing high school, then going to Italy for two months on exchange, but it sounds like an awesome thing to do and something I'd love to get into once I get back. How do you get into face to face advocacy? What IS it?

This is not a reply to the original poster (because that would be 2 years too late!) but I just thought some Victorian Unleashers might be interested in this new job advertisement:

Try your local Humane Society or Animal Shelter. There are always jobs available there.
