I quit my job at a takeaway place because of the meat. I'd been there for about a year and a half before I went vegetarian, and worked there for another year until I quit. Almost everything there contained some sort of meat, but the thing that really bothered me was the chickens. We sold roast chickens, and what with having pet chickens and being vegetarian, it started to really bother me having to pack and sell them.
I haven't gotten around to having another job... I could maybe handle other animal products, but the dead chickens were just too much for me.
Don't make a decision too quickly, spend a lot of time weighing up the pros and cons of your job.
I have to sell people roast chickens at work.
I hate it!
Firstly I've got to hold it for longer since the barcodes are placed oddly and I can FEEL the heat coming into my hands.
Secondly the smell. I used to love that smell but now it throws my stomach as it smells like rot. I really don't know how I used to eat it.

I had a few moral conflicts at my old work.
We made equipment for eye surgery. A couple of times people from universities called and asked if they were suitable for rodents! I'd just say no they're designed for human use. However they are also used by vets so the could be used for rodents wink
Once someone called from a research company. I asked for more information and found out they were testing an eye cream on humans. She contacted the boss first so I couldnt just say no to her but I felt so awful about dealing with them until I found out they were testing on humans.
But once I got caught out. Someone borrowed a microscope to do demonstrations at a dr's conference. When they returned it they told me about the conference and said they did some live surery on goats!
I felt sick for weeks. I sent them that equipment to torture those goats! sad
99% of the time it was fine but when it wasnt I felt soooo awful. I couldnt just leave. I have bills to pay! I'm so glad I'm not there anymore.
The company I work for now does cleaning and I've had a couple of issues. One of the places they clean is a pig farm and a couple are catering places. But I dont really have to be involved in them at all. I just pay the cleaners.

It is hard when you feel like your involvement is direct, but you do need to remember that there is going to be someone doing that job whether you are there or not.
