Good on you, your story makes me happy. I too have recently adopted 6 battery hens. Oh god the state of them was so sad. Already with love and food, fresh air, space and sunlight they have changed remarkably. They are still timid and they still sleep in a tower of eachother but they are getting stronger and more confident. I'm so content knowing these babies actually got to see outside and feel grass and stretch their wings, dust bathe and peck around all because I was lucky enough to get them.
