Hello! I'm really happy right now! My Aunty has this fish ( a tropical freshwater ) who is silver and really beautiful! She doesn't want it anymore, and my parents let me have it! YAY! But I'd really appreciate some tips on how to take care of it, like what foods are the best, what tempreture etc etc. Thanks guys!

Do you know what type of fish she is exactly? I don't know much at all about fish, but I'm sure it would be a lot easier to find out information on how to care for her if you knew what species she is.
It would also be a good idea to ask your aunty how to care for her.

She is going to each me how to care for her and how to clean the tank, and I'm  pretty sure, but not exactly sure that she is a DAnio albolineatus fish...laugh

A Pearl Danio? According to wikipedia they are supposed to be peaceful and do better with company, weird that she's eaten other fish. But then again that's just what I read on wikipedia.
How long has your aunty had her and why does she want to give her away?

Maybe a Silver Dollar?

Anyway, fish are quite easy to keep.

Most Tropical fish require the temprature around 25 degrees, that's generally what most like.

Most fish will eat Tropical Flakes, apart from Chiclids which i don't think you have.

You will NEED a filter for sure, that's a must, if you don't have one already.

You will need to cycle your tank, just google "Cycle a tropical aquarium" to save your fish from being sick.

It's not really that uncommon - I had a kissing gourami who lived in a community tank (you should be able to keep any kinds of gouramis together) and eventually killed everything - I named him Hitler. He was such a vicious fish!

It depends on what kind of fish it is as to how you should look after it. Just make sure when cleaning the tank you never use detergents, and you shouldn't ever really empty the whole thing, only empty a bit and replace the water.

Apart from that, feeding it is the only thing you'll need to do!

ok happy im a pro at fish stuff as i have a tropical fish as well

to get your tank started you will need a temprature gage and make sure it is around like 26-27 ish as the water they come from is fairly warm, buy some stuff called Ph Down, this will come with a testing kit. Read the instructions and test the water reguarly as it will monitor the acidity in your fish's little home. other than that just have the normal water pump and a nice big home and iit will be all good happy

and as for food, brine shrimp, blood worms and anything like that will do happy
