We can't drink V's and Mother's. They contain taurine which is a constituent and it's normally found in the lower intestines or tissues of animals...

I don't like energy drinks really, so I am no expert, but I thought the taurine was synthetic?

Yeah, it's all synthetic.. People keep saying red bull is made from bull, and that's bull happy

I think V tastes like spew a bit. I like Red Eye sometimes though, tastes like fruit tingles :S

Ek! I would rather drink fresh squeezed orange juice. Mother Nature knows what she's doing tongue

To be honest, I'm not to sure. I wouldn't want to drink V's again unless I found out if it was or not. O_o

Okay, I just found this on the V site -

IS TAURINE FROM ANIMAL ORIGIN?
In short: No.

In a slightly lengthier desription:
The taurine used in V is not from animal origin and therefore makes V suitable for vegetarians. Taurine is an amino acid that is imporant for metabolism and is a component of bile acids, which helps asorb fats and fat-soluble vitamins.

So I'm assuming it would be the same with Mother...?

Yes, they're all the same but I argue that Red Bull is NOT vegetarian/vegan because the company privately funds animal testing.
Here;s an article about it: http://www.vegaplanet.org/?p=98
