Vegan/Vego Lollies!

Hi all,

Just trying to figure out what brands I can and can't eat, looking to make it simple.

Are their brands that make chews/jube style candy (sweet sweet candy! OM NOM NOM!) that don't use animal gelatine? Is there are substitute product available that brands use?

I just tried these guys: http://www.sugarlessco.com/ as I walk passed their HQ all the time but they came back saying they use pork in their candy sad

You would think a company specialising in specific dietary requirements would work to make products that everyone can eat! I have emailed them for further comments, hopefully they will have some good candy soon!

I just want brands that make normal lollies, coke bottles, snakes, SOUR WORMS! That are good to eat, not made of meat!

There are vegan coke bottles and a few other things but I'm not sure of the brand. You might wanna check out Habib Wholefoods at Flinders st, I've heard they have the coke bottles (a bit expensive, but worth it ecstatic

)

btw, Skittles are vegan but some people have an issue with them because they are owned by Mars who test on animals.

Ooooh, I go passed habibs all the time, will check it out.

Won't buy mars products though, someone needs to make an entirely vegan confectionary brand, if there isn't one already!

Aren't some of those All Natural lollies vegan? I'm pretty sure I've seen some without gelatine...?

I would love to try some exotic-style lollies. Try Japanese stores, if you know of any. They use vegan gelatine in their desserts, lollies, etc.

Nah I think we checked a while ago and they don't. If they're vegan they're vegan, it's not really an opinion. Each to their own who they boycott. If they aren't vegan I apologise for my mistake.
