I joined awhile ago, and it was great at first! Always posting and chatting..but as the members that frequented here have visited less, or left all together, it seems to have become..not only kinda quiet, but boring.

I dunno, just me? xD

I don't think it's quieter, or boring, but I do kind of miss the discussions we used to have. I remember we used to talk about some pretty involved issues to do with animal rights/welfare (and the distinction between the two) and always used to be respectful (except when the LiveVegan people showed up, uggghh).

But then again, we still do that, it's just different.

I think also maybe the community was a bit smaller back then at the start of 09 and we all knew each other a bit better?

I'm relatively new here but am quite glad that there isn't the whole "abolition vs welfare" schenanigans going on.  Then again I don't really know what it used to be like on Unleashed...

Perhaps I could start an opinion poll on strippers to liven things up?  Although I'm sure that's not what you meant wink

Good idea, I've thought of this in the past as well - we should organise a recurring get-together in Bris, go to a diff vegan restaurant on something like the second Wednesday of odd months etc.  Would also make organising other activism related stuff here easier.  I promise I'm 'relatively normal' happy

Hmm maybe I'll start a thread on it to see if others would be keen...

Oh really! We should discuss that again! I've been thinking about the differences between human rights an welfare a lot lately.

Some discussions can get a bit too involved here i admit and thats why i'm not going on here for an hour each day anymore lol

I think the main reason why people havn't been on lately though is because of Christmas happy. Just wait a few weeks and see what happens. Or try starting a new controversial thread. The more broad the more discussion there will be.
