I've been vegan for 1 month and a half  but i'm having a serious problem with milk alternatives - they just don't seem to like my stomach. I've tried soy milk, oat milk and rice milk and that's all that my local store stocks. I've stuck to soy milk but I can't have it on a day to day basis. Any other alternatives??

Please and Thank you ecstatic

How odd! Are you certain it's the rice/oat/soy milks that are bugging you and not something else you're eating on the side? I just ask 'cause it seems surprising to me that all three would be troublesome, unless you have particular issues with foods in general? sad Maybe it's an additive? Does it make a difference if you use organic soy/milk/rice? Just guessing here...

Another suggestion that comes immediately to mind is almond milk. It tastes delish, and it's super easy to make! Google for some recipes -

Good luck - let us know what works for you happy

Try the So Good Essential soy milk. It's the only milk alternative I can drink, it's nothing like normal soy milk. It might agree with you.

Soy, oat and rice milk are 3 totally different foods, I really doubt they're all upsetting you... you'd have to be sensitive to soy and gluten, and almost noone has a rice sensitivity. they all have similar additives though, you could look into that.

or try almond milk, see what happens.

It might be a mind thing? Like your brain is telling your stomach to freak out cos it's something different. Someone suggested to me to ease into a dairy alternative. Like half soy/half milk so you gradually get used to the subtle taste difference.

Not all soy milks are the same. Different brands taste different. I've tried many brands and I'm happy with either Soy Milky or So Nice.
I'm planning on trying out different brands of organic soy milks in the next few weeks.  happy
