Hey folks,

I'm sure I speak for a lot of people when I say that, second to animal rights, music is my biggest interest. As you know, Unleashed and music are joined at the hip as we table at a lot of concerts. So we want you to name 5 of your favourite bands/artists and name 5 concerts you are planning/hoping to go to in the next 6 months. They don't necessarily have to be into animal rights, just keen to get some music discussion going. If they are into animal rights, give them a special mention.

For me, it's probably

3oh!3 - touring in October woooooot!
All Time Low - just saw them when they were out and are coming back out for Soundwave!
Fenix Tx - not sure what's going on with these guys, did I hear reunion somewhere?
Rise Against - have met these guys once before. possibly one of the best animal rights bands around...
The Academy Is - just missed em!

I'm probably one of the biggest outcasts when it comes to musical taste on this forum. tongue

Marilyn Manson - seeing him in October

Alice Cooper - SEEING HIM LIVE TONIGHT! Yeww!

Slayer - October again

Arch Enemy - Coming here Nov 3rd, the vocalist is an avid vegan. ecstatic *nudges unleashed*

Lamb of God - Playing in December, on my 18th Birthday! ecstatic

picking a top 5 is hard!
butttt.
Propagandhi - Seeing them this year was pretty incredible, even if the crowd was 99% jocks/jerks.
Q and Not U - I've been listening to "Power" on a daily basis most of this year.
Low - I love that they decided the most controversial/reactionary thing they could do was play slow and sing sweetly.
Tragedy - One of about 2 hardcore bands from the last decade that I have any time for.
Black Flag - they're black flag.

I don't know what the next show i'll go to will be. I've been a bit slack lately though so probably one I have to go to because i'm playing.

Ps. Is anyone else in the situation of really wanting to see the weakerthans, but really not wanting to go soundwave? So torn.

It's hard to pick favourites sad

Radiohead - hoping they might tour here in the not-too-distant future. Noth holding my breath though.

Muse - new album out sep 14 so they might come to Australia? I'm hoping.

Brand New - Their last album is one of my favourites of all time. New album sep 22

Neutral Milk Hotel - Haha, not counting on an Australian tour, but hey, a girl can dream.

The Matches - just broke up sad Luckily I got to see them last September.

Coldplay - Saw them this year in Melbounre... wow... they were amazingggg. hearing 'yellow' live, the chorus being belted out by thousands of others, while being showered in yellow confetti is something i'll never forget.

Rise Against - Best animal rights band going round I think. Music, to me, is always that much more interesting when the lyrics mean something. They're even better when I support them.

Eels - Wow. They new album by E is out of this world. The lyrics are so honest and open - you can really feel his pain at some points.

The Kinks - ahhhh 60's rock. love itttt.

Sex Pistols - first real punk band and, band member behaviour aside, one of the all time greats. "I am an antichrist, I am an anarchist" - just imagine how that shocked the system back then.

1. Mr Marilyn Manson love Great guy and all round mad ass =D haha

2. Miss Otep =3 [Band name: Otep] Who is an activist for woman's rights as well as other things =3 [see their band site / Myspace site for a list.]

3. Serj Tankian - All round good guy =D Who DOESN'T love him haha!

4. Deathstars - Particularly Whiplasher Bernadette and Cat; sexy beasts who aren't afraid of the media =D

5. 69 Eyes - Just brilliant artist who are oh so very theatrical love

Concerts I'm going to atm is only Mr Marilyn Manson on 17th October at Brisbane Entertainment Center; standing floor baby!! xD Great price considering he's only doing two shows [See Ticketek]. My Boyfriend is going to Amon Amarth on 27 or 29 [something like that] of November; sadly I have to wait another year till I'm 18 *sad-face* lol
