Are most protein suplements vegan? I'm thinking of getting some from a grocery store, theres more options at those workout stores but i don't want to be seen in a place like that :S
Most are not, but there are a few out there. It's just a matter of looking around.

b12 is one of the only things you might need to worry about, but you can always get a blood test done and see how all your levels are if you get worried

If you're working out a lot protein supplements can be handy, especially in summer I find it easier to make smoothies than eat so much soy and lentils (I'm trying to keep my protein higher because I stopped building muscle.)

There's at least 3 vegan protein supplements that are easy to find, soy and non soy.

For the rest, this is the best site, read it all and you'll be set.

Unless you want to build big muscle mass then protein shakes are really a waste of money if your eating a wholefoods balanced diet.

My tips would be - low GI, brown everything (rice bread pasta etc)
2 & 5 fruit/veg everyday
3 litres of water min.
Green/herbal tea etc

6 small meals spaced evenly throughout the day as opposed to 3 large

Exercise first thing in the morning before breakfast (boost your metabolism for the entire day)

I'm against liquid meals, they usually digest alot quicker than a solid meal obviously and leave you feeling hungry sooner

If your looking for energy for a workout/sport , you want to eat the meal a few hours beforehand to give it time to digest and become available to your muscles etc
