Pets Paradise stores around Australia are starting to put up flyers to say that they do not support puppy mills. However, when the owner's are asked where the puppies do come from they are unable to give a straight answer or they say the information is confidential. Its absolute nonsense and its really upsetting as people will believe what the flyers says.

Instead they support those idiots who breed their dogs for money, sell the pups to pet shops, and find them in shelters a few months later.

What can we do about it though? Can we report them to someone? I saw this sign in Pet's Paradise at Eastland and Melbourne Central. But how do we find out whether the dogs are from puppy farms or not?

Any trade involving live animals should be completely transparent sad

I have emailed Pets Paradise requesting incformation about their puppy supplies in S.A.

If they cannot supply information I shall be reporting them to the ACCC for misleading the place of origin of  goods (for example, where it was made or assembled) REF: http://www.accc.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/960084

One day I went into one of the pets paradise pet store (noticing the puppies in the window) and asked them where they get their puppies from. The only answer they gave me was "oh, we don't buy puppies from puppy mills, we get them from breeders" its not like their is a difference between "breeders" and "puppy mills". The difference is "reputable breeders" and "puppy mills"

I have also seen these signs around in their shops and I couldn't help but pull it off and throw it in the bin. Unfortunately before i didn't know all about puppy mills when i worked for Pets Paradise and i can truthfully say they do get the animals from puppy mills. I have had the worst pleasure of meeting of the owners of the stores called Gary Diamond, And he is the most heartless man. At the store you are trained to make people buy the animals it's all about sales sales sales basically.
We have been told to lie about having animals of our own so the customers think we are legit and know what we are talking about, Which is untrue, We are just kids that have been put into this crap situation, There is no training about the animals or products in the store.
I will never buy or work for this company again in my life. For the 6 months i worked there we had 15 rabbits and 5 guinea pigs die due intestinal parasites and prolapse's because of no veterinary care because "those animals are low profit for them" ( Area Managers words) . I had 4 birds at the store that got Parrot Fever also know as Psittacosis, Which can be transmitted to humans which non of the staff were informed of these infections when we were hired. So all staff had to go to the doctors for blood tests and chest x rays on our days off and pay for those tests.
I hope this company gets shut down, They're nothing but parasites.
