Lately i've gotten back into staying up so late! It's 3am and i'm hardly tired!
It would probably have to do with general stressful situations and such, also artistic frustration, i've had an idea in my head for hours, but i know if i try to draw it right now it wont come out..!
Just staying up listening to music with my partner lying in bed next to me. I'm so freaking bored!
Anyone else get like this? Insomnia? Night owls? Or just cbf sleeping?
Haha, I've been a more or less lifelong insomniac, which has a bit of night owldom chucked in for good measure.
I really should get some more sleep. It's good for one's health and increases longevity. Buuuuut, I never go to sleep before 12.30AMish. My parents tried everything for my insomnia when I was younger, from alternative therapy to relaxation tapes, to meditation, to medication and the works. Nothing helped, so now I'm sorta used to it.

Yep. I physically can't get to sleep so I end up writing letters, knitting, listening to music until I physically pass out. If I had access to my phone we could be insomnia buddies!
Insomnia sucks I hope you can sort it out.
I haven't tried all of these myself, but I've heard a few different suggestions to deal with insomnia:
- no computers for 2hrs before bed
- meditate before bed
- regular exercise
- don't eat too close to going to bed
- read yourself to sleep (this one usually works for me)
I'll let you know if I have any other suggestions.
i had a sleep disorder when i was about 17.
i was told to remove electronic things out of my room or to turn of at the wall
no computers before bed or caffeine in the late afternoons.
to switch myself of at night was really hard because when you lay in the dark and complete silence, of course your head goes crazy! so i started to write down thoughts and throw them out sounds strange but it work also getting myself into a slight routine really helped.

Some nights i dont sleep at all and then two days later i'm walking around like a zombie.
I actually had a guy selling foxtell door to door who pretended he had the wrong address because I looked like i was a junky when i opened the door and just stared him out, haha
