being so lacking in self confidence as i am, those sort of ads get to me..and they are EVERYWHERE..im not a small girl..i dont have a perfect, clear face, i dont have perfect hair..and it makes me feel so ugly i dont want to ever talk to anyone again. Its tearing girls th apart.
I dotn shave my legs..and people freak out when i tell them im like..wtf..do you think its liek a forest? and i show them..i have the tiniest little hairs that are barely noticable..why should i have to? its so stupid..
as well as pubic hair! a guy said in a group of us ''im probably the only one here who doesnt shave down there" im like"..i dont.." and they were all like omfg eww!! its pathetic..what..do they want girls with genitals looking like a childs genitals??
VF, you're fantastic the way you are! Beauty is only skin deep (AND looks fade!!!) beaverhug

I don't shave my legs often in winter as I wear long pants, but since the hot weather, I put some shorts on the other day and yikes!!! scared  Haha!!
I can't speak on behalf of other dudes, but I know personally it upsets me when women, friends or otherwise, feel pressured in ways like that. And I can definitely relate to the insecurity, in terms of say seeing some shirtless dude on a billboard maybe, although that's much less common and less intense to see.

Fat people, muscly boys, gay people, people who aren't white or female, people who aren't under 30, would all make for a much more interesting themes to me.
So are you suggesting that a gay african vegan female sumo wrestler would be the ideal animal advocate? wink
That or I'm just trying to as a non-muscly white under 20, argue my way out of being an animal advocate. haha.
lol laugh nice try ... but the animals need you AND the african sumo lady ... so there's not getting out of it this time wink

So are you's then discriminating against these women because they're attractive?
Your screaming about women's rights...well they also have a right to be attractive and wear revealing clothes, it doesn't make them any less of a person, including if they've had surgery.
Women's rights should be about each to their own (whether hairy, shaven, curvy, thin, etc) as long as they're not hurting anyone. If seeing these women make you feel unattractive then your self esteem is YOUR responsibility. No one should have to feel guilty because they're happy with they're appearance.

I don't mean to be nasty, but I also have low self esteem but I realise that it's my issue to deal with, and i need to work on my personal growth. not the fault of seeing an attractive person and trying to compare myself, although it's easier said than done.

I do agree that their website would be better with more information, but it at least hopefully it may peak someone's interest enough to want to look into it.

thats a good point. you cant censor everything because someone feels bad about it, then we would have nothing left uncensored.

Perhaps we should all email them and ask them to post more informative material??

not just these women or women walking around the streets being attractive wearing what they want etc.

But the fact that skinny, pretty perfect women are everywhere, modeling everything and anything. for make up, clothes, food, shops. Its the fact that society seems to be forcing this image down our throats that we are having to feel bad about because we dont all have airbrushed faces and skinny little waists. Its not right to put such pressure on young girls to always wear make up, revealing clothes and being skinny.

And we were just saying it would be good to have something different than just skinny pretty women advertising something, something different for once.

Oh ok, I do agree that we're being force fed "how we should look"
