Hmmm, is it true that only 'reject' flat-race horses are used for jumps racing? If it is, that's really, really interesting.
I'm all for an end to animal exploitation -- from flesh to milk to testing to entertainment -- but if it is true that only 'reject' horses are used -- therefore no horses are actually bred especially for jumps racing -- is it right to protest only against jumps racing?* I mean, are we doing the right thing if the horses that would become jumps racing horses are, without jumps racing, going to be sent to the slaughterhouse?
Can someone clear this up for me?
*I realise the Coalition for the Protection of Race Horses campaigns for an end to all horse racing.
And by the way guys...
We shouldn't jump down everyone’s throat for being for something we're not. We live in a democracy. Everyone’s entitled to their own opinion - even the person who made this video. I think the comments commented onto this particular video are pretty childish. I don't think it’s right to call anyone a "fat whore."
seems to me she was looking for attention, hence why i didnt comment her or anything. im happy to bitch about it here with other angry people.
ive heard that once a horse has had its run and is no longer good for use theyre sold to pet food companies..
yeah, i dont think the fat whore comment was appropriate, i doubt the person commenting personally knows if shes a whore or fat..
thing is, its freedom of speech, if she is going to have her say publicly then so will others. You cant put a video up with an opinion and not expect to be challenged.
