Have you heard of the website www.rspcawatchdog.com.au ? And the website Alv.com.au? They are all against the RSPCA because…well, I'm not really sure? What do you think?
P.S How to cook some delicious broccoli? Cause its really good for you but I hate it, but I really want to eat it!

I had a couple of expiriences with them, i brought in 3 different animals, one was a cat with bad cat flu, another was a week old kitten, and the other was a racing pigeon with a small hole in it's crop (chest), they put down all three animals..
I know they had to put down the cat flu cat, the kitten i realised later i could have taken to the cat society and they could have helped or at least let me know how to take care of it, and the pigeon just needed a little stitch.
I know they have no money to take care of many animals, but i think they could at least have told me how to take care of the kitten then just 'put it down', i dont hate the place.. just sometimes depressing.

Try putting it in some stir fry! Or even just add it to the sides of a meal. If you hate it, maybe start off eating it in small amounts so you get used to taste, then if you like you can gradually increase the amount.
the website dont work so they obviously dont exsist, i tend to think imagine if there was no RSPCA at all. Also the RSPCA is the only group that can take animal abuers to court and even that is a hard thing to do.
I don't really like the RSPCA. I've reported many cases of animal cruelty to them, and I've been ignored or told to go to someone else. The only time we actually got them to come and investigate a severe case of sheep cruelty was after calling them several times over a period of about 3 weeks.
They also seem to take credit for other organisation's achievements, and they have their name on barn laid and free range eggs. Any organisation who cared about animals would not support any form of animal exploitation. And we all know that eggs are cruel.
At Christmas time, instead of promoting a vegetarian or vegan Christmas, they were promoting free range turkies. These turkies still died a painful slow death, they still suffered during the long transport process, and their flesh was still devoured for human's benefit. No one thought about who they were eating or how they suffered, only that they were 'free range'. Surely that's not what animal welfare groups stand for?
Unfortunately the RSPCA is very political, they don't get as much done as they should as they're too busy arguing away. As they are a well known organisation, they usually take the pride and earnings when another smaller organisation gets some where with animal rights (even if they've done nothing but sponsor)
The RSPCA is very flawed, they are very slow at moving towards a future and their holdings for cats and dogs are in urgent need of maintenance. Kittens and cats are put down quickly in the RSPCA because they're often over whelmed with them at every branch. Last month they found a great way to get them adopted by having a sale- if you bought the cat/kitten start up pack for $70 then your kitten/cat was free. They ended up having to bring more cats/kittens in from other branches as so many were adopted out that weekend. Once again I'd say this is flawed, though the cats are desexed and vaccinated, people have an urge to buy something thats on sale without thinking about it for the future. I have no doubt that some of those cats/kittens will be surrended once again. But its the desperate measure they had to go to.
I don't exactly like how the RSPCA is run, I don't like how stop/start they are but most of their money comes from the Government, they have to make sure they stay within the legislation as to not lose their main funds. Sadly, our animal laws are really outdated yet nothing is being done about it. Its really hard to get cruelty out when the law allows it to happen.
I will continue to support the RSPCA however, I don't hate them. Atleast they're trying and you must admit that they are the biggest names against animal cruelty- they give the publicity we're desperately in need of.
I think its ridiculous that some of you hate the RSPCA, or PETA or any other animal rights organisation.
Have you even looked at the RSPCAs websites? They have heaps of animal rights campaigns as well as the animal shelters, including banning circus animals, farm animal rights, stopping puppy farms, ending animal exports etc.
They receive less than 2% funding from the govt and I've seen several of their shelters first hand and they are in grave state of repair.
The whole world is never going to turn vegan, its just the way it is. And although I (and most of you) have made the choice to do the right thing I truly believe that by having RSPCA chicken, turkey etc that they are not only encouraging people who are not willing to cut meat out of their diet to care a little about what they are eating but they are also encouraging businesses to do the right thing as well. RSPCA Branded meat has strict guidelines which must be followed which other farms really don't have to worry about.
I just think you should research the RSPCA and make the decision yourself instead of asking for other peoples opinions to form your own.
Here's a thread from a while ago with some more info. I'm concerned about what Matt said regarding their 'humane certification' and how they profit from it.
I've been feeling quite furious with the RSPCA lately as I brought my dog in as he had some serious heart problems.
They prescribed medicine for him and from that day on, he felt sick and unhealthy, and wasn't the happy dog we used to see. We began to stop giving it to them, but he still seemed depressed.
He also passed away recently because of them (I believe), but atleast I'm happy he is probably in a happy place now.
RIP
Yeah, I believe some people in the organisation are rather ignorant
And maybe I don't mean EVERYONE involved with the RSPCA, but in general have heard of some ignorance involved with them, when they could've done something else to help eg. some animal cruelty reports have been ignored.
