It's so inspiring to see so many people on the forum eager to get out and distribute leaflets!

Just a quick note on the most effective way to use them...

We've found that letter box drops do not receive a significant response. So this is not something we can afford to distribute leaflets for. Leafleting however, has a much greater impact.

Generally we would recommend people find a busy public spot (eg. a uni or the city) and distribute leaflet there. And if you have a friend to go with, then this can make it all the more fun!

Aside from being a more effective use of leaflets, I also think that leafleting is much more rewarding than letter box drops. You get the opportunity to engage with people - they can ask questions. And you get the pleasure of seeing people reading the information you've given them as they walk away.

Thanks gang, for helping us get the word out!  clap

I handed out some "Boycott Cruelty - Go Vegan" leaflets at Newcastle Uni the other week, and it went really well. Most people were willing to take one, and those that didn't just said "No thanks", and just walked on. Nobody was agro. I was a bit nervous before I did it, but afterwards, I wondered what I was so nervous about - it was a really positive experience. I went leafleting with a friend, but I'd be happy to do it on my own in the future. One guy even came up to me and asked me for two more copies for his friends - I saw all three of them sitting down looking through the leaflets. We handed out about 150 leaflets in less than an hour. We checked the bins afterwards, and only found about 8 there, which was pretty good. I've found that people at universities are a lot more likely to take a leaflet than people on the street, plus uni students tend to be pretty-open minded, and more likely to go vegetarian or vegan than someone who's middle-aged or elderly. Outside a high schools would probably be a really good spot too.
Handing out pro-veg leaflets at universities and other places with lots of young people (e.g. concerts) is a great way to promote compassionate living!

I would seriously LOVE to go leafleting and attend protests etc. But my parents don't approve of it D= Instead, I write all of my essays and school assignments on animal rights. Currently doing a 2000 word one on animal testing.
Same here but what they dont know, wont hurt them.
agreed LOL
