We learnt at TAFE if you find a dark place in your house put a trap, its one of those one where they can get in but cant get out of put a little food in and they will go in there when they are squeaking it will trigger other mice to go in to try help out but they will be locked in there too...
we learnt that if you put bait down, the individidual goes back to the nest, and the others can smell where that mouse/rat has been and what its eaten...and will learn to avoid that area of the house, they are incredbley smart, which can be seen as a downfall haha...but try out that idea if you use baits they seem to just relocate..and scatter..we had the same problem i saw one sat on the top of the stairs he was looking at me and then just casually hopped down the stair lol it was funny but weird....hahaha hope that helps xx
I think I caught over 20 in the end and they were all released.
Yesterday I moved the washing machine and found a little hole where the mice have started to reappear from so I've plasted over it. If they chew through the plaster, I've been advised by another "mouse relocator" to use a metal can lid and glue it over the hole so they can't chew through.
