Funny how only protesters get shot not hunters would that be because protesters go into unsafe areas. Even the DPI spokesman said she shouldnt have been where she was.
If they weren't shooting ducks in the first place there would be no reason to protest, and no one (including the innocent ducks) would have to get hurt. She wasn't in the wrong.
It's like she was there for a reason, although she was unfortunatly shot, it had also made headlines making people aware of this cruel sport or at least made aware again!!

Daniel, in the 20 years that Laurie has been running this campaign this is the very first shooting. Considering the situation, that's a fairly good statistic. However, look at how many shooters have shot themselves/a friend/a complete stranger each year. Its not comparable. Just yesterday a shooter shot his own hand off.
At least Julia was injured doing something that she believed in and not something destructive. From a pride perspective, if someone asked you about your scar would you like to say 'I got shot trying to protect ducks' or 'A friend missed a duck and shot me instead'?
That reminds me of 'big guns.... little ducks'. Of course, due to the spot where the duck is (the duck is in the spot of the 'u') many people could misread it... heheheheh. It'd still be true either way!
It made me very happy to see that there were people out there trying to save the ducks. It's sad that this is happening. Seemingly without reason. I hope that this lady will be fine and that the child gets some sort of sentence. Who gave him a gun anyway?!
i know its hard for you to admit when one of you is Wrong
Oh, so you believe shooting ducks is RIGHT?
You know, I believe you can tell a lot about a person by what they think is right and what they think is wrong.

Yes, it would seem he does. Just like he believes that cutting animals throats whilst they are fully conscious and left to painfully bleed out for up to a few minutes as they thrash and writhe in agony after enduring weeks on live export ships is right. It's important to the economy, I hear (or at the very least a few wealthy live exporters' pockets). Just like shooting native waterbirds is important to .. uhm... no I have no idea why that's important!
I am against any form of unnecessary killings of any animal, especially for sport? or fun!! we also need to stop the culling of our native animal the kangaroo before they become extinct, the drought, bush fires have already killed off alot of our beautiful wild life including the ducks, we need to stop this killing of australian animals!!!
