as soon as the school holidays start, I'm going to do some serious leafleting!
But right now, I have exams. Which I really should start studying for.

Yay! Well done tongue
I've wanted to do this for a while, but I don't have any veg friends either. Not sure if I could do it on my own though.  scared
Yeh, I know what you mean. I get a bit nervous around new people, so was a bit reluctant to go alone -- especially for the first time (it's always cool to have some backup with you) . But I found that the overwhelming majority (and I mean overwhelming majority) just take the leaflet, and walk off while reading it.

All I asked was "Hey/hey guys, help abused animals?" Some took the leaflet, some didn't. Whether or not they did take it, I just said thanks and moved on to the next person coming in my direction. It was much, much easier than I thought it was going to be. Animals Australia are really good too, they send you information on how to go about leafleting, as well as some fact sheets on the information your leaflet covers. If you just study this little bit of information before you go, you have no probs at all... and you'll feel a lot more confident about the whole thing too. As I say, the overwhelming majority are far too busy for a chat -- let alone an argument tongue

i went leafletting once tongue
it was really interesting to see who took the leaflets and who didnt, i ended up being able to guess who would and who wouldnt before i tried giving it to them.
i found that pretty much all of the asian guys did and smiled, as well as any guy with a kid, the older women usually took them very grudgingly and couples hardly ever took them at all, oh and all people with a mental problem took them too.. they usually came to talk to me about it aswell

there were HEAPS of middle aged angry women there, and the best thing i saw was this funny old woman go over to all her friends and say "ohhh have you seen this!? how sad! i had no idea!"

haha its so surprising to see how angry people look when theyre walking around the city tongue it really made me want to be the smiliest bubbliest person alive! lol

I have found that indians take them gratefully. I think because a lot of them are already vegan and they like learning stuff?
I try to remind myself that everyone is human, and therefore everyone would want one if they knew the truth. I say in my mind "take it, take it please" and generally more people do take it. It must have something to do with my body language.
