i went leafletting once
it was really interesting to see who took the leaflets and who didnt, i ended up being able to guess who would and who wouldnt before i tried giving it to them.
i found that pretty much all of the asian guys did and smiled, as well as any guy with a kid, the older women usually took them very grudgingly and couples hardly ever took them at all, oh and all people with a mental problem took them too.. they usually came to talk to me about it aswell
there were HEAPS of middle aged angry women there, and the best thing i saw was this funny old woman go over to all her friends and say "ohhh have you seen this!? how sad! i had no idea!"
haha its so surprising to see how angry people look when theyre walking around the city it really made me want to be the smiliest bubbliest person alive! lol
I guess you have to put yourself in their shoes!! I hate getting pamphlets coz honestly most of the stuff are things I'm not interested in so it'll go straight into the bin. Also, most of the time I don't know what it is, so don't care.
I'd probably walk past you unless you said "save abused animals" or something with "animal" in it. Or! Perhaps have a poster up nearby re animal abuse or wear an Animals Australia shirt. Most ppl love animals and will take a pamphlet if they had warning
