I would avoid the hosipital food anyway, from what I remember seeing that stuff is pretty damn fowl. Get roe to play chef and bring you in food! haha
I wont be there long enough to eat if all goes well lol that and thats not the reason for the vegan heading... more so for my bloods and stuff (why I gave results for things they don't usually test for during pregnancy). First meal - sushi! Shop bought!! lol
I'm classified high risk so looking at a minimum 4 day stay even if everything goes to plan - until now I hadn't even thought about the horrible hospital food!
It's also strange that you're getting extra stuff tested - do you just mean like B12 levels and things?  I'm just having the 'regular' ones (which include B12 for first lot) but more often (not because vegan, but because of other high risk thing).
My midwife said I had the best iron levels she had ever seen and if it wasn't for this other thing, I would be the textbook case for ready-for-baby-growin'.  Win for veganism!

Hahaha yeah. I'm getting all the usual vegan tests every time I get bloods done, just to be sure ya know. So iron & B12. I had to watch my iron levels as they were "fine for me alone, but needed to be monitored for baby making". Sigh. But other than that all good (apart from the odd low blood pressure scares - getting up too quickly I think!).

Sucks that you are high risk sad

I have done more experimenting in the kitchen since being vegan and I'm having great fun!

1-Garlic lentils and kale (just discovered this yummy green)
2-Scrambled tofu and mushrooms on toast (yes its technically breakfast but sooo good)
3-Nachos (my new weekend junk food)
4-Tofu or temphe stirfry with brocolli and mushrooms
5-Veg paella: pumpkin, kumera, cauliflower and basmati
6-Pasta with mushroom tomato sauce
7-Red lentil dhal with carrot
8-Veg stew and quinoa
9-Lentil burger pig

Hmmm...
In no particular order...

Chickpea Curry
Lentil Cottage Pie
Bean Burgers
Felafel
Stirfry (usually with tofu)
Sandwhich with raw vegies or pb&j (when I can't be bothered cooking)
Groovy Salad
Lentil Curry
Spag Bowl

That sounds so ridiculously boring...I'm pretty sure I am missing things...oh well.

Hmm it's a good point. I probably don't even do 9 meals... Anyway apologies in advance vegans but I'm only vegetarian

1. Spag Bol
2. Cheesy cream sauce with chives and pasta
3. Stir Fry (this is vegan)
4. Homemade Gnocchi (sweet potato, pumpkin or potato) and tomato and onion type sauce
5. Lentil Burgers
6. Roast Potato with sour cream, onions, garlic and salad
7. Lots and lots of salad
8. Mushroom and spring onion rissotto
9. Homemade pizza

Oh I do do 9 meals... sweet!

I've got to do a bit more experimenting. I'm just never home long enough in a row to get into a routine. And yes I love my carbs ecstatic Bad for me though
