Candlelight Vigil Against Killing at Kingston Cemetery

Kingston Cemetery, Kingston View Drive, Kingston, Tasmania

7.30 pm, 29 April

Killing of native wildlife is planned for Kingston Cemetery and we intend to stop it.  Join us on Friday night for a peaceful action in opposition to the killing.  Be prepared to stay until late to stop the shooting of possums and wallabies that are accused of eating the roses.  Bring a candle and dress warmly.

Email or phone 0408 970 359 for more information.

Thats the most ridiculous thing I've heard yet. Culling indigenous wildlife to protect roses which are not even native to Australia. Unfortunately I cant be there as I live in SA.

I don't think it's just the Kingston cemetery that has this problem. I think it's all cemeteries. If they had the vigil at the Cornelian Bay cemetery I would go. That cemetery would be worse because they'd kill all the cats too. sad

@MM thanks for posting it on your Facebook!

How absolutely ridiculous! Surely there has to be some law against this?
