If my kid wanted to be a vegan, well they could. As long as they cooked it themselves, then that their choice. However couldn't say I wouldn't be disappointed
Cooked what themselves? Vegetables? I would hope to god you cook vegetable for your children.

In the end, I think what your kid eats (as long as it healthy) is up to them
Why would you be disappointed Shooter? I'm genuinely curious.
I would hope that my kids would understand that if animals are humanly kept and killed then their is nothing wrong with that. I would be disappointed if they some how came to view that eating animals was wrong

That is fair enough. I suppose I would be disappointed in myself if my children believed that killing animals for their meals was acceptable.
"Cooked what themselves?" their dinner, duh. I man, if all they eat were veggies that I cooked to go with meals they would be pretty hungry. Also, if they want to only eat veggies, they can cook it them bloody selves

I'm agree here. Most omni parents won't let their children go vegetarian/vegan as their frozen steamed vegetables on the side of the plate are definitely not enough to sustain them, and it's never fun cooking two dishes. I would not be cooking meat at home separate for another dish, not even for my partner.

I dont think you saying that you'd be disapointed in your children if they chose not to eat a living being is very right... :S
Aslong as theyre kept humanely? What if a person was kept humanely and killed after not long of life? How do you feel about this..? Im sure you've been asked this before- why are you on here?
i wouldn't let my daughter eat meat in my house but when she is old enough to chose what she wants to do and if that happens to be meat i don't think i could stop her. i just hope she decides to keep with the vegan lifestyle
but in our house we will/do teach her that we don't eat animals.
most kids don't actually know that meat comes from animals and once they do most stop because children adore animals why would they want to.
i plan to teach my daughter the health side of everything as i don't think meat have very good health benefits at all, from reading about health and personal experience.

So you think that meat eater should let thier kids be vegan but it shouldn't go the other way round?
