I rescued a beautiful duckling and rooster this afternoon from almost certain death. The only problem is, I live in an apartment & cannot keep them.
Is anyone out there willing to give them a home? Especially the rooster! I have a couple of people who will take the duck but the rooster doesn't seem to be as wanted
It's gorgeous & still very small- we think around 10-12 weeks.
They just need a loving home to go to!! Please get the word out there!
They were outside a flat, in a little cage with a sign saying $10 for 1 or $15 for both. Once I spoke to the 'owners' they said that they were planning on taking them to their friends farm & fattening them up to eat unless someone bought them!
I couldn't let that happen, so decided to part with $15 to save two innocent lives.
I know! It was horrible! They are so beautiful though
What nutcases. Have you contacted ALV? They may be able to point you in the right direction. My girls would love to get down and dirty with the rooster but they're not allowed.
