No wonder we are considered extreme I saw one of those bogan t shirt shops, the "best seller" was:

"This is Australia, we drink beer, eat meat and speak f#*ing English."
proudly displayed on on image of our flag.

we are an animal farming nation, everyone loves bbq's and steak and with shirts like this no wonder people think we vegans are weird lol. its almost "un-Australian" to not participate in corpse munching apparently, let alone not drinking our daily levels of delicious pus, sorry - i mean milk.

I don't care if people think I'm weird, strange or an extremist.... I am so happy I can sleep easy knowing I am saving lives and the planet!
frankly I love telling people I am vegetarian.... and when they try rub it in my face that they are having a "big juicy steak" (as they call it)... I love to tell them some interesting facts to put them off their "big juicy rotting flesh"
I also like to call 'gelatin' lollies.. "Sugar Beef chews" now one of the girls at work can no longer eat them!!!

Vegansim isn't extreme. People are just that simple that it seems extreme... until they actually think about it. It's like telling a palm reader something that they never realised before.. shuts em up instantly... until they understand it.

I wonder why people think it is so extreme to cut animals out of our diet? Its not like going around, killing a bunch of animals like they do.

Exactly! I often get that- omni friends will ask me something and then start to tune out when I answer and sort of hold their head up high.

people think veganism is extreme because they can understand that vegetarians care about animals and relate all like one, but they don't undestand the egg and dairy industry an how that could be considered cruel. It's like how a lot of people o vegetarian because they love animals so they don't want to be eating them that makes sense to people, but saying I love animals so i don't have milk or eggs doesn't make sense to them because the egg and milk aren't the animals you love.
They won't conect that the animals need there eggs/milk since thats how society is raised.
We are raised to believe that milkis 100% natural and that cows need to be milked by humans or they will have problems, we are raised to believe that they don't have milk because hey have children but because all they're stomachs turn grass into milk. so they see it that we need to have milk for the cows.

Isn't it amazing how much society will willingly believe?
