Hi all.

New here. A long time ignorant meat consumer that has recently been educated on the reality of this industry. I am hoping to learn more and help to educate others in my life.

One question about the forum. Seems a little lacking in features. One feature I use on all forums I participate in is the ability to subscribe to a thread (mostly ones I post in). This way I am emailed of a new reply in that thread.

Am I blind and missing that feature here??

Thanks.

Good on you for turning the blinkers off!! I love it when I hear of ignorant meat lovers opening their eyes. Makes my day! Have you seen Gary Yourofsky's video? One of the best happy

Sorry I can't help you though, dunno how to subscribe to threads.

Just in case you haven't seen it, here is the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=es6U00LMmC4 it goes a lot deeper then just the "meat" industry.

Good luck on your quest and welcome happy

Welcome! happy

I think the moderators actually do have a list of features to add to the forums, but I think it takes a while for them to do it. It's a fairly simple format at the moment.

The only thing I can suggest is that your topics kind of get tracked  I think in your profile so you can maybe find your topics quicker that way if it's busy on the forum.

Not too sure sad

Welcome Dave! Once you realise what happens with the meat/dairy corps it's quite an easy decision. I hope this forum helps! happy

I second your idea on emailing or having a list on our profile that list threads we posted on. I'm sure admin would be up for it ..... wink

Id get extremely annoyed with a million emails a day- that's not cool. I'd like for a notification thing. Similar to facebook. Like just a little light that says "(blahblah) Has commented on this forum post"

Unfortunately Unleashed doesn't have a thread subscription option. I've seen it on other forums too, but what I've noticed with Unleashed is that threads that are of particular interest to everyone tend to come up to the top of the list of threads quite frequently. But you could always create a folder in your bookmarks, and use that folder to bookmark threads of interest from Unleashed?

Hi Dave, thanks for the suggestion. We always appreciate feedback on how we can make the site even better, and this is a great idea.

Animals Australia has a web-design team of 1 (Karen), and she is tied down with our live export campaign at the moment - as is virtually our whole team. So we will put this on the list to consider as soon as she is in a position to make updates to the site.
