Disgraceful, and the saddest thing is that the perpetrators will never see justice. Remember, eastern cultures have a completely different ethic to western cultures when it concerns animals and animal welfare.
In China are there any laws controlling how animals are killed?
I think they do, but the communist party prefers to spend it's efforts censoring and firewalling the internet rather than treat animal life as anything more than a nuisance and/or food.
I go by a very simple adage:
"Think of the worst thing that you could possibly imagine being done to an animal. Then multiply that by 1000. That unspeakable, unmeasurable crime is happening right now, somewhere on this planet."
As Gary Yourofsky said, we're pretty much enacting the Holocaust every day, except it isn't against people of the Jewish faith, it's against animals.
